
Unknown persons damaged apple orchards stretched for over ten Kanals in the Shopian district of south Kashmir.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, unknown persons damaged more than 1500 boxes in the Wachawhallan area of Imam Sahib belt in Shopian.
“We woke up in the morning to find our apple orchards had been damaged by unknown persons. The apples were on the ground and taken down forcibly off the trees,” said one of the victim.
He said that the orchards that were damaged belonged to two Abdul Aziz Mir and Gulzar Ahmed Mir.
Police has taken cognizance of the matter and launched an investigation into the matter.
