Unidentified persons poisoned a fish farm in the Narpora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district leading to the death of more than 4000 fish.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the fish farm owned by Hilal Ahmed, a local, was poisoned by unknown persons during the intervening night which led to the death of around 4500 fish on the farm.
They said that Hilal Ahmed had set up the fish farm the last year and it was growing well.
The owner has registered a complaint with the local Police who launched an investigation into the incident.
