People’s conference chairman, Sajad Gani Lone on Friday hit out at the LG of Jammu Kashmir, Manoj Sinha over his claim that Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was not under house arrest.
Reacting to the claim made by LG, Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone in a tweet said: “I think LG sahib needs to verify facts. His statements don’t reflect reality. May I humbly state that the tradition of locking up leaders and then denying is an old worn-out tradition. It has been happening for the last 3 decades.”
Sajad Lone had earlier condemned the house arrest of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and demanded his immediate release.
Pertinently, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been under house arrest since August 04, 2019.
