Half a dozen people, including the woman sarpanch of Palali Panchayat of Padar in Kishtawar district of Chenab valley, have sat on a hunger strike against the administration.
These people have been sitting on hunger strike for the last four days demanding the road and the people of the entire panchayat have stopped the work of Gulabgarh-Mitchell road being constructed by the administration, except for their panchayat.
The people of the panchayat say that before the preparation of the Road, it was promised to the government that the road will be connected to their village, but the government has now backed down on its promise.
In such a situation, they have no other way left except to go on hunger strike and dharna.
At the same time, despite 4 days, no administration official has reached these people till now, the locals claimed while speaking to The Kashmiriyat.
The doctors of the health department are constantly monitoring his health.
