The Urban Local Body Polls have evoked negligible response from Locals in Kokernag Belt of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) belt as only 78 people have cast their ballot out of 1662 registered voters.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that till 11 am, at ward 13 only 7 votes were casted out of 904, At ward 9, 01 vote was casted out of 264, 01 vote was exercised their franchise out of 218 at Ward 11, in Ward 05, 69 votes were casted out of 276.
They said that people of the area have remained indoors mainly and decided to not vote amid high security measures undertaken by the Government Agencies.
