Walnut thrashes dies after falling from tree in Shopian

A 37-year-old man died after he fell down from a walnut tree in the Shopian district of south Kashmir.

An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Thursday morning one Mohammed Mushtaq was thrashing walnuts in the Reshipora area of Zainapora belt in south Kashmir’s Shopian district when he fell off the tree.

The 37-year-old was rushed to the Sub-District hospital in Zainapora where was declared brought dead.

Mushtaq son of Lantha, a resident of Kanjanli area in Reasi fell down from the walnut tree belonging to Mohammed  Mohammed Ashraf Reshi, a resident of Zainapora.

As per locals, Mushtaq was a trained walnut thrasher and had been doing this work for a long time. “He just slipped off the tree while coming down from the tree,” they said.
