Wanghat residents in Ganderbal irked over dilapidated road condition

The residents of Wanghat and its adjoining areas in the Kangan tehsil area of Ganderbal District are facing a lot of problems due to the dilapidated condition of the road.

As per the details, Wanghat is a remote area of Ganderbal district which is 13 kilometers away from sub-division Kangan.

Locals said this road was newly constructed by the PMGSY department at the cost of Rs 14 crore but unfortunately the department didn’t repair the 1.5km road from Wanghat to Hapadnad.

“We have approached PMGSY department Ganderbal but they said we have no funds for execution of further work on the said road,” locals said.

The locals of the area have appealed to the LG administration and Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal to resolve their issue at the earliest—(KNO)
