Mehbooba Mufti, the former Chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir, has launched a scathing attack on the Bhartiya Janata Party over their “exploitation” of the Jammu people.
She said that the Bhartiya Janta Party used to tell the people of Jammu that it would make someone from Jammu the Chief Minister, however, when they selected an LG, they got a man from UP and made him the Lieutenant Governor. “Was nobody from Jammu qualified to become Jammu Kashmir’s LG?” she asked.
Speaking during an event, Mehbooba Mufti expressed gratitude to the party workers in Jammu who kept working for the PDP despite challenges.
“There are some forces which are continuously tarnishing our image. But my entire childhood was spent in Jammu. I feel very bad for the people of Jammu, they have to face lot of troubles. My father Mufti Sayeed had joined hands with Prime Minister Modi for the cause of Jammu,” she said.
