Congress leader Kapil Sibal on Wednesday criticized the Indian Home Minister Amit Shah for his remark on the “Gupkar gang” and asked him whether the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) -People’s Democratic Alliance (BJP) alliance ( PDP) was to “bring terror back” to Jammu Kashmir.

On Tuesday, Amit Shah said that the People’s Alliance for the Gupkar Declaration wanted foreign forces to intervene in Jammu Kashmir, adding that the people of India would no longer tolerate an “ungodly world. gathbandhan” against the national interest.
Speaking on Twitter, Mr. Shah had asked Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and party leader Rahul Gandhi if they supported the People’s Alliance for Gupkar statement which he said insulted the flag tricolor from India.
The Home Secretary said “Congress and the Gupkar gang want to bring Jammu and Kashmir back to an era of terror and unrest.”
However, Congress Secretary General Randeep Singh Surjewala Surjewala clarified that “the Congress party is not part of the Gupkar Alliance or the People’s Alliance for the Gupkar Declaration”.
In 2015, the BJP entered into an alliance with the PDP after no party could secure a majority in the 2014 assembly polls. However, in 2018, the BJP withdrew from its coalition government. with the PDP.
Parties including the National Conference, the PDP, the Peoples’ Conference and the CPI (M) have formed the Popular Alliance for the Gupkar Declaration and are jointly fighting the first elections of the District Development Council (DDC).
While Farooq Abdullah was chosen as president of the People’s Alliance for the Gupkar Declaration, Mehbooba Mufti was chosen to play the role of vice president.
On October 24, the head of the National Conference, Omar Abdullah, said that the PAGD was formed to ensure the restoration of the rights of the people of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh. “We are all united so that the position before August 5, 2019 is re-established,” he added.
The DDC polls will take place in Jammu Kashmir in eight phases between November 28 and December 19, and the count will take place on December 22.
