Hundreds of fitness trainers from Jammu Kashmir are on the verge of losing jobs as COVID-19 lockdown has forced the gym owners to shut down operations to prevent the spread of infection.
The owners of the Gym on Friday sought the help of the Government for incurring huge losses; due to the prevailing crisis in the wake of Coivd-19.
In view of the Government order, Gyms across Jammu Kashmir have suspended operations since the lock-down began in late march.
Some gyms have permanently shut down their operations in Jammu Kashmir. “our losses are increasing as the lock down continues, without any respite to us. Our staff is leaving, and most of them remain unpaid,” Asif, a Gym owner told The Kashmiriyat.
The Government must reconsider the decision of imposing the ban on Gym centres as people in times of sitting at homes, need daily exercise is must to strengthen once immune system.
Stats reveal that there are over 500 fitness training centers in Jammu Kashmir. Some of the gyms have invested huge money to attract high-end customers.
