‘We Harbour Power Projects, Why do we face a Shortage of Electricity’- Ganderbal Residents Aghast over Erratic Power Supply

Despite harbouring the manifold power projects, perhaps three in number in the areas namely Sumbal, Kangan and Ganderbal, the resident of Ganderbal areas say they are facing the incessant and unscheduled power cuts that has put our lives in the tremendous dismay and disappointment.

Students particularly are suffering the most as their examination has incepted, locals from Ganderbal told The Kashmiriyat.

As our examination has started the regular power cuts plays hide and seek with our career, exclaimed the students.

The administration of Jammu Kashmir is playing with their careers of thousands of students, Inspite having the proper schedule regarding the power supply, the power department doesn’t seem to follow it, he said.

We pay our power bills by or before the month, but the power supply is almost invisible, lamented a local, adding, “Then for what we pay our bills?”

The whole of Ganderbal and in particular the area of Kashmir’s Gund, Haknar, Fraw, Ganiwan, Kulan, Rayil, Gagangir, Mamer, face immense hardships.

The Locals appealed the concerned Department to intervene into the matter and get the issue addressed.

Administration in Jammu Kashmir has maintained that they have been providing more electricity in comparison to the last year.
