The family of two Youths from Kashmir’s Kulgam who have been missing for the past four days have started a massive search for their kin in Uttar Pradesh, as they have been running from pillar to post to find the duo.
Loading their truck on the morning of 14th November 2020, the siblings namely Mohammed Younis Ahmad Dar aged 26 and Faisal Hassan Dar aged 18 loaded their truck bearing registration Number JK03D-7806 left for Kanpur.
Their truck was loaded with hides, as per the family.
“The duo had been calling us constantly, however on the 18th day of November, the family suddenly lost the track of the brothers, when their phone got switched off, the phone has been off since,” the cousin of the duo told The Kashmiriyat.
Residents of Mohammed Pora area in Kulgam, the duo were e-challaned by Uttar Pradesh Police in Dinesh Nagar of Etah. District Etah in Uttar Pradesh is a part of Aligarh Division.
Another driver from Mohammed Pora area of Kulgam, the family says, had seen their truck in the Aligarh area, however when he crossed the vehicle, he saw none of the two was driving the vehicle.
“The driver from Neighbourhood has seen their vehicle in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh area, however none of the two brothers was driving the vehicle, perhaps it was a Non-Kashmiri with long hair,” the family said, another driver from the Neighbourhood told them.
The family says that they received their last call on the 18th of November when they said they were on the way back home, after which their phones were off. “We contacted every friend, drivers of our locality but nobody has got any clue about them,” their cousin told The Kashmiriyat.
The Senior Superintendent of Jammu Kashmir Police for Kulgam District upon being contacted by The Kashmiriyat while assuring full support to the family said that the Police will swiftly find the duo. “The family has lodged a missing report and we have started the investigation.”
A few drivers had been arrested near the Akrabad by the Uttar Pradesh Police, however, the Local inspector of Akrabad Police station upon being contacted by The Kashmiriyat denied that the Duo was in his custody.
Denying that the duo were in custody, the SSP of Agra Zone Uttar Pradesh Police said that he has no information about the arrest of the two brothers.
“We had not received any complaint as of yet, but since you have brought the issue to our notice, we will start investigating the matter, Bablu Tewari SSP Agra told The Kashmiriyat over phone.
Sources in Uttar Pradesh Police told The Kashmiriyat that the phones of the duo got switched off near Skindrau, on 18th November around 10PM, since then there has been no trace of the duo.
A closer study of the area shows that the phones of the duo lost signal or got switched off when they deviated from the NH 34 in the Sikandrau area to a distance of not more than 500 metres, the Police Station located in Skindrau is also less than 500 meters distant from this location.
Meanwhile, the family members of the youth have started searching them in all the Police Stations of Agra and have been running from pillar to post to trace the duo.
