Unknown persons on Friday entered into the branch of Jammu Kashmir bank located at Khrew area in Pampore belt of Pulwama District trying to snatch the rifle of the bank guard.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that bank guard deployed near the gate foiled the attempt by fighting of the persons who tried to snatch the weapon.
The attackers later fled from the spot after which the Police reached the spot and launched a Search operation to nab the attackers.
Reports said that the attackers tried to pour chili powder on the eyes of the bank guard but he averted a rifle snatching by being vigil, Sources said.
