Suspected Militants early morning on Saturday fired at the guard post of National Conference Member, Showkat Ahmed Ganie at Chitragam in South Kashmir’s Shopian.
Police officials confirming the attack to The Kashmiriyat said that the incident took place around 4:30 am in the morning, but the alert guards opened fire on the Militants forcing them to escape.
Nobody was injured in the attack, he said.
