“Western Nations trying to use Ukrainian people to fight their own fight against Russia”: Says Russia

The defence ministry of Russia has issued a notice on Tuesday stating that Russia will launch a strike against the ‘Center for Information and Psychological Operations’ in the Ukrainian capital to suppress the number of information attacks on various state institutions and Russian citizens.

Moscow warned residents who live in close proximity to communications towers near the headquarters in the center of Kiev to evacuate their homes for their own safety.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Prime Minister said, “We are fighting for survival, but we are also fighting to be equal members of Europe.”

During the first round of negotiating talks, Russia has reportedly demanded several things during negotiations with Kyiv.

The demands include, Consolidate the non-bloc status of Ukraine at the parliamentary level and hold a referendum. Russia has also demanded the recognition of DPR and LPR within the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

Ukraine has said that 352 civilians have been killed, including 14 children, since the invasion began last Thursday. “More than half a million people have fled Ukraine since the start of Russia’s invasion,” UN’s refugee arm said.

The statement said that more than 70 Ukrainian servicemen were killed by a Russian rocket attack and dozens of civilians have died in “barbaric” shelling.

The Russian defense ministry has said that Russian forces’ special military operation will continue until the goals are achieved; the main task is to protect Russia from the military threat posed by Western countries.

“Western countries are trying to use the Ukrainian people in the fight against Russia. Ukraine uses civilians as human shields, also uses multiple rocket launchers, large-caliber weapons and mortars,” it said.

“The Russian army isn’t occupying Ukrainian territory, but taking all measures to preserve the lives and safety of civilians – strikes only carried out on military facilities and exclusively with high-precision weapons,” the statemet read.
