Amid Anti-Kashmir protests that gripped many Indian states, another shocking incident has surfaced in Poonch area of Jammu district when a student was disallowed inside a library.
A college student of Degree college Poonch speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that on 28 February, a College student was disallowed to enter the library after being told he was a Kashmiri.
“Why should i allow you to enter the Library, you might be a terrorist as well,” the librarian told the student, he informed The Kashmiriyat.
The student was disallowed to enter the library which angered other students and they held a protest against the librarian inside the college premises.
The video of the protest is available with The Kashmiriyat.
He said that they reported the issue to the college principal, he however did not take any action against the librarian.

The college principal in fact told us, the issue was very small and the students should compromise, he told The Kashmiriyat.
“Fanning communalism will only produce negative results, even though we are Poonch Locals, we were harassed by these people,” the student told The Kashmiriyat.
He said that they approached the Deputy commissioner of Poonch, who also did not initiate any action against the College authorities.
The Kashmiriyat tried to contact the Deputy commissioner of Poonch, who despite several attempts did not take any call.
Protests against Kashmiris began in various parts of Jammu after 14 February, when a Militant rammed his car loaded with explosives into a CRPF convoy killing at least 49 CRPF men.
Hundreds of Kashmiri students and businessmen were attacked, intimidated and forced to leave various parts of India.
