The wife of Ex chairman all parties Hurriyat Conference ( APHC) and the patron of Ittehadul Muslimeen and the prominent religious leader Maulana Abbas Ansari passed away on Tuesday morning at Sher e Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS).
According to family she was unwell for sometime and breathed her last this morning.
As the news about her death went viral on social media, hundreds of his followers thronged to his residence to offer condolences to the bereaved family.
Thousands of Muslims, both Shias and sunnies took part in her funeral while following covid19 protocols.
Maulana Imran Raza Ansari president of Jammu and Kashmir Shia association and Aga Syed Mujtaba along with other top Shia clerks were present on the occasion.
The deceased was the mother in law of senior journalist Sajjad Haider an editor of Kashmir observer news paper.
She will be laid to rest at Gulistan-e-Baba Mazar, Srinagar at noontime, family sources said.
