Panic gripped the Rajbagh area of Srinagar after the residents spotted a wild bear and a cub roaming openly in the Srinagar locality.
Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that on Saturday evening, a wild bear was spotted by the locals roaming along with a cub on a street in the area.
Immediately after, the locals contacted the Wildlife Department, who deputed a team to rescue the wild bear from the area, however, no success has been achieved as of yet.
The Jammu Kashmir Police has issued an advisory asking people from Rajbagh and nearby areas to remain indoors till the bear is caught.
“If anyone notices/sees the bear, pls inform at SHO Rajbagh’s number 7006572050,” Police said.
