Moments after being convicted by the special NIA Court in New Delhi, a frail-looking Yasin Malik, the chairman of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) was intercepted by the media for his comments over the conviction which Yasin Malik was whisked away by the Policemen surrounding him.
On Thursday, the NIA court convicted the JKLF Chairman in a case related to militancy-funding and other ‘anti-India’ activities.
The NIA court has also sought an affidavit from Yasin Malik regarding his financial assessment and asked the investigating Agency (NIA) to submit a report related to his financial assessment. Argument on sentence to take place on the next date of hearing,

However, in the following seconds of another video viral from the court, Yasin is loudly heard saying to the media personnel, “If I am permitted to speak, I will definitely want to talk and I want to talk.”
Yasin Malik, 54, is lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail after he was arrested under the Public Safety Act in March 2019, but a month later his custody was shifted to National Investigation Agency (NIA) in a two-year-old case of “militant and separatist funding”.
According to a news report by CNN News 18, Yasin Malik had told his lawyers back in Kashmir that he does not want any trouble for them, so he will not want any of them to plead their case amid the “massive crackdown” in Kashmir.
The NIA court had framed charges against Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder Hafiz Saeed, Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin and others for hatching a criminal conspiracy, waging war against the country, and other unlawful activities.
Pakistan has summoned India’s Charge d’Affaires here to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and handed over a demarche to him conveying Islamabad’s strong condemnation of the framing of “fabricated charges” against Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik.
