‘Will not be part of Gaza genocide’: Shopkeepers in Jammu Kashmir destroy Israeli products

Shopkeepers in Ramban’s Bowli Bazaar were seen destroying stacks of Mountain Dew bottles produced by PepsiCo. They expressed their outrage over Israel’s genocide in Palestine, stating that they would no longer sell any Israeli products. Speaking to the media, the shopkeepers said they will stop selling products including, but not limited to, Lays, Pepsi, and KitKat—all of which are either owned by Israeli companies or allegedly support Israel.

Despite the high demand for soft drinks like Pepsi and Mountain Dew during the approaching summer, the shopkeepers chose to take a stand against Israel.

Emphasizing the suffering of the people in Gaza at the hands of Israeli forces, the shopkeepers condemned world governments and the United Nations for remaining silent in the face a genocide. “The least we can do is refuse to consume products that aid in this violence,” one shopkeeper stated. They further appealed to the government to impose a ban on all Israeli products.
