
Jammu Kashmir Police claimed to have recovered an abducted girl from Check Jamal Mir and arrested the Kidnapper namely Aijaz Ahmad Bhat of Check Jamal Mir.
One person (name withheld) lodged a written complaint with Police Post Palhallan stating therein that his daughter (name withheld) aged about 22 years was abducted by one person namely Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, R/O Check Jamal Mir Pattan, Police said in a press statement issued to The Kashmiriyat.
To this effect, case FIR under relevant sections of IPC was registered at Police Station Pattan.
On this, Police Post Palhallan swung into action and consequently a team was constituted who after strenous efforts traced and recovered the abducted girl. The accused have also been arrested in the instant case.
After completing the legal formalities, the abductee was handed over to her legal heirs and further investigation of the case is going on, Police said.
