Local sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Thursday afternoon, the trio was seen entering the canal under mysterious circumstances, prompting nearby residents and police to spring into action.
The locals, with the help of police teams, managed to rescue the woman and both children moments after they plunged into the waters.
All three were immediately shifted to a nearby medical facility. Hospital sources confirmed to The Kashmiriyat that their condition is stable.
The woman has been identified as Tasleema, a resident of the area. While the motive behind the act remains unclear, officials said an investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident.
More details are awaited.
