Woman charged under 107 CrPC for 'assaulting' youth in Srinagar's Partap park: Police

A woman was charged for “breaching” peace for assaulting a young boy in a park for allegedly stalking her daughter.

Videos of a woman who is a resident of Srinagar went viral on Social media. In the video, she was seen assaulting a boy in Partap park Srinagar for misbehaving with her daughter.

Police in a statement said that she was “falsely” suspecting the boy of stalking her daughter

“The woman will be produced before the magistrate for a good behavior bond under sec 107 of CrPC (breach of the peace is imminent).

“It was unpleasant to watch the video. I strictly ask people not to take law into their own hands, there are various means through which any aggrieved citizen can seek action against anyone, but then engaging in such an act is simply unacceptable”, Senior Superintendent of Police for Srinagar district said.
