A woman from Baramulla died after falling from a tree in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday late evening.
An official said that Afroza Begum (40), wife of Mohammad Maqbool Lone, a resident of Satarteran Baramulla, fell from a tree and sustained injuries.
The injured woman was initially taken to SDH Tangmarg for treatment and later referred to JVC Hospital Srinagar, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Meanwhile, proceedings in this regard have been initiated. (KS)
