Amid heavy snowfall, the Indian Army said that amid heavy Snowfall in the Narikoot area if Kupwara, the army helped during the process of delivery of a baby girl.
Detailing the incident, the Indian Army said that, around 4:15 am on February they received a call for help from an ASHA worker saying that a woman was suffering from childbirth and due to snowfall, no other vehicle is available with the ambulance.
Upon getting this complaint, a team of Indian Indian Army along with the medical team was immediately rushed to Narikut to evacuate the pregnant woman from that area.
As the condition of the pregnant became critical, the ASHA worker requested the team to park the vehicle on the roadside and decided to have delivery inside the gypsy with the army medical team.
The woman and newborn child were then brought to the hospital. The Army honored the ASHA worker, Sadia Begum, for her confidence and her decisive role in odd circumstances.
