A woman was killed by a mentally retarted person in the Shurat area of Kulgam in South Kashmir on Tuesday.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that 35-year-old woman Mehmooda Akhtar wife of Muzaffar Ahmed Najar, a resident of Shurat area in Kulgam was hit by Ashfaq Ahmed Bohro, who is mentally ill, with a stick.
The woman was critically wounded and fell down unconscious at the spot after which she was rushed to the District hospital in Kulgam/
Upon her arrival, the Doctors in District Hospital Kulgam declared her brought dead.
The official added that a case has been registered under relevant sections of law in this regard
