Women in Rajouri Shot over Domestic Quarrel

On Wednesday, a woman was injured in a quarrel that involved her brothers in Rajouri district of Jammu region.

Police officials told The Kashmiriyat that, a woman in Keri Barehvi village of Rajouri’s Dharamsal area received gunshot splinter injuries due to a 12 Bore rifle following which she was taken to Kalakote hospital where she is undergoing treatment.

“It has come to the fore that two real brothers were fighting over some intra-family issue after which one of the brothers used his 12 Bore rifle and fired and pellets of 12 Bore rifle hit his sister identified as Anju Devi, resident of Bari Brahmana Jammu,” said officials.

The accused brother was identified as Kirpal Singh, son of Jagdev Singh and has been taken into the custody and investigation into the matter is on.

They added that the injured woman is out of danger and is stable now.
