The former Deputy chief minister of Jammu Kashmir and senior leader of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), Nirmal Singh has said that the chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front, Yasin Malik, and others like him will be hanged.
Speaking to the press in Jammu, Nirmal Singh, senior BJP leader said, “Yasin Malik has more pending cases against him, he has pleaded guilty in merely one. He has committed atrocities against Pandits and killed Indian Air Force pilots. It was JKLF that started the killings. People like him will be hanged. It is just the start. You will see what happens next,” the former Deputy Chief Minister said.
Castigating the former ally of his party, Mehbooba Mufti, he said that Mufti has raised doubts about the functioning of the judicial system of India. “She is got used to criticizing every institute of India and trying to play communal politics over the recent demolition drives carried in various states across India,” Nirmal Singh said.
He claimed that the JKLF Chairman was left with no option, but to confess the charges against him. “The Government has framed such charges that it was not possible for him to not accept. There are more cases lined up against him. People like him will not be spared,” he said, in a clear reference to separatist politicians.
Targeting the pro-establishment groups, he said Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti want the valley to return back to its pre-2019 position and “feed” on the “blood of innocents”. “They want stone pelting, strikes and killings to happen, so that they can gain political mileage over it,” Nirmal Singh said.
