A civilian has was killed early morning on Wednesday after being being shot at by a patrolling party of the Central Reserve Police Force in the Kawoosa area of Budgam in Kashmir on Wednesday morning, five days after another civilian was killed in Pulwama.

The Kashmiriyat has been informed that a wagonR car was fired upon after it allegedly did not stop at two passing Nakkas (patrol) when the troopers of CRPF patrolling a road near Narbal area in Kawoosa area of Budgam opened fire upon their vehicle.
A civilian, however told The Kashmiriyat that a man identified as Mehraj u Din Peer, a resident of Beerwah in Budam was shot in his right shoulder and chest.
He was brought dead to the hospital, a doctor told The Kashmiriyat. As per initial reports, Mehraj was 26 years old and was the son of Assistant Sub Inspector of Jammu Kashmir Police.
A Police official speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that the CRPF men tried to stop the WagonR car at two Nakas earlier, they did not, so the CRPF men assuming danger at the third Naka fired upon the vehicle.
The firing has resulted in injuries to a one person, who has been shifted to the hospital, a Police official confirmed to The Kashmiriyat.
