Supporters of Shah Faisal on Monday welcomed him with Shiekh Abdullah times slogans during his maiden public meeting in Kupwara.
The slogans that reverberated during Faisals public meet were a copy of slogans used during Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah’s tenure like ‘Yee Karri Tee Karri Bab Karri Lo Lo’ .
The Slogans were used earlier for Sheikh Abdullah, the leader who enjoyed most support in Kashmir.
Massive gathering was witnessed in Faisal’s speech in Kupwara.
“I wanted to serve my people and to speak about them as well. People who are at the helm of affairs don’t have conscience and do not provide solutions to the people,” he told the gathering.
He said that corruption has rotten the whole system and he had left valley and went to USA after being heart broke.
“Our PHD scholars have been martyred while people enjoy in their arm chairs and Kashmiris offer sacrifices and people keep saying that boys pelt stones for Rs 500,” Faisal said.
According to KNO correspondent, people responded to Faisal’s speech with slogans like ‘Aaya Aaya Shair Aaya’.
Notably, Faesal addressed his maiden public gathering today that too in his native district Kupwara in north Kashmir.(KNO)
