A young man from Mughalpora Brinty Batpora in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district died on Sunday evening, reportedly due to a heart attack. The deceased, identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Mugloo, was a professional driver by occupation.

According to a health official at District Hospital Anantnag, who spoke to The Kashmiriyat, Mugloo was brought to the hospital in an unconscious state. “He had no pulse on arrival and was declared brought dead after examination,” an official said.

Locals from his native area said Mugloo collapsed suddenly and was rushed to the hospital by neighbours and family members.

“We were told he complained of uneasiness in the chest and collapsed soon after. By the time we reached the hospital, it was too late,” said one of his neighbours.

Mugloo, who had lost his father some years ago, is survived by his wife and a six-month-old baby. His sudden death has shocked the community, with many visiting the family to offer condolences.

Funeral prayers are expected to be held later today at his ancestral graveyard in Mughalpora Brinty Batpora.
