The family of 24-year-old Irfan Ahmad Dar from Salamabad Dachina area of Boniyar in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district is desperately seeking information about his whereabouts after he went missing over six weeks ago.

Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, his family said that Irfan has been missing since May 31, 2025.

A missing person report was filed at Police Station Bijhama on June 1. Since then, the family says there has been no trace of Irfan.

“We haven’t received a single clue so far. His phone has been switched off since the day he disappeared,” said a close family member. “We are in deep distress. He is a very calm person and has never left home without informing us.”

According to his relatives, Irfan had left home on the morning of May 31, saying he would return shortly, but never came back. His father, Khazer Mohammad Dar, has visited several nearby villages and police posts, but the search has yielded no results.

“We are requesting anyone who may have seen him or knows anything about his whereabouts to please come forward. Even the smallest piece of information could help us bring him back,” one of Irfan’s cousins told The Kashmiriyat.

The family has also announced a reward for anyone who provides credible information leading to Irfan’s recovery. “We will give a suitable reward to whoever helps us find him. All we want is to know he is safe,” said another family member.

Police officials at Bijhama Police Station confirmed that an FIR has been registered and investigations are ongoing. They have urged the public to report any relevant detail directly to them or any nearby police station.

Irfan was last seen wearing casual clothes and a cap. Anyone with information can contact the family at 9541603692 or reach out to Police Station Bijhama at 9596767720.
