Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a youth from Bijbehara town was found lying unconscious under mysterious conditions inside a mosque in Batamaloo Srinagar, after which, he was shifted to hospital.
“It was the time of Fajr (pre-dawn) prayers when people went inside the mosque and found him lying inside the mosque, after which locals rushed him to the mosque,” locals said.
Upon his arrival at the hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead.
His family members said that he was serving as an Imam in the area for nearly a year and was living in a rented accommodation in the area.
“We received a call from Srinagar stating that our son had been hospitalized, when we reached Srinagar, we found his dead body,” his family claimed.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started an investigation into the incident.
