Five days after two brothers of Kulgam went missing from Uttarpradesh one more family of KanelwanBijbehara in south Kashmir Anantnag District has complained that their son Muneeb Ahmad Sofi has gone missing from Doha Qatar.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat over the phone his father Bilal Ahmad Sofi said, “Muneeb was working in a juice factory in Doha Qatar, we lost contact with him since 18 Oct. 2020. we have been running from pillar to post to find Muneeb who is 20 years old.”
His father alleged that the Government Forces had been constantly harassing him over phone calls. “A case has been registered against Muneeb in the Kulgam Police Station.”
“I was summoned to a Police Station in Srinagar where they asked me about my son,” Bilal Ahmed Sofi alleged.
Muneeb, as per the family, had been working in a juice factory in Doha Qatar for more than one and a half months. While appealing to the local administration and the police to help them trace the missing youth Muneeb Ahmad the family alleged the concerned police station refused to file a missing report from the family, an allegation recruited by the police.
The concerned station house officer in Bijbehara upon being contacted by The Kashmiriyat said that the family will be helped as much as possible “They should approach the police with all the related documents and they will subsequently lodge missing report”
