A youth from Pulwama district of South Kashmir has been missing from the Gurgaon area of the New Delhi National Capital Region (NCR) since 24 November 2020.
Identified as Zahid Ahmed Lone, who is a resident of Braw Bandina area in Pulwama, Zahid was working for a private company in Gurgaon as per a family member.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat the family member said that Zahid called his family on the 24th and since then his phone has been switched off. “The last call as per the Local Police in Gurgaon has been made near the Gurgaon Metro Station.”
The family tried to contact him since, but has been unable to, the family member said, adding, “we tried to verify from the owner of his rented accommodation who had no clue whatsoever about Zahid’s whereabouts.”
The family has filed a missing report in Pulwama, an official told The Kashmiriyat. A team of Jammu Kashmir Police in Pulwama was deputed who are in Delhi’s NCR with the family members to trace the 25-year-old Zahid Ahmed Lone.
The family member said that the team along with the family went to NCR four days ago, however, as of now, the family has been unable to find any trace of Zahid.
Pertinently, this is the second such incident, earlier two brothers from Kulgam went missing in Delhi, only to be traced to a Police Station in New Delhi after a gap of more than four days.
