Youth Hospitalized After Being Thrashed by Forces in Kashmir’s Bandipora

A youth suffered injuries after being thrashed by  Government Forces at Aragam led  during a raid in Gundpora village of Bandipora district of North Kashmir.

The youth has been identified as Asif Ahmad son of Wali Mohammad Lone a Resident of Gundpora Bandipora.

Eye witnesses told The Kashmiriyat that Asif has received injuries after being thrashed by Government Forces and was shifted to District Hospital Bandipora for treatment.

Father of injured youth Wali Mohammed Lone speaking to The Kashmiriyat that “A police party barged inside our home and forcibly tried to snatch Broadband which Rural Development department had kept in my home and when we refused to hand over broadband because the concerned department had not paid the rent of the room, which we have given to rural Development department on rent since 2011.”

He also said that police later mercilessly thrashed them in which his son namely Asif Ahmad Lone received serious injuries.

Meanwhile, father of Injured youth requested higher authorities to look into the matter.

SSP Bandipora Rahul Malik, when contacted said that, “we had inputs from sources that Broadband in the said area was misused by some miscreants.”

“When Police party reached there, they attacked Police party without any rhyme and reason later they came back,” he said.
