Youth must actively participate in campaigns against drug abuse: LG Manoj Sinha

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the ‘JK Youth Conclave 2024’ and launched the second season of ‘Inspire GenZ’ and ‘Beats of JK’ initiatives by the Department of Information and Public Relations at the Convention Centre on Thursday.

He reaffirmed the UT Administration’s dedication to empowering youth and creating a conducive environment for them to realise their full potential.

“With 65 percent of JK’s population being youth, this demographic dividend stands as our greatest strength,” noted the Lieutenant Governor.

During his speech, the LG praised the Department of Information and Public Relations for actively engaging and inspiring the new generation to enhance their personal development.

“Events like the ‘Youth Conclave’ will encourage Gen Zers to contribute to shaping JK’s social, cultural, and economic landscape, ultimately leaving an impact across various sectors,” stated the Lieutenant Governor.

He congratulated the Young Achievers from JK who were honoured for their exemplary contribution in diverse fields.

“Youth power is the pillar for Viksit JK and Viksit Bharat. The country is moving forward with great confidence, hope and expectations and I am sure the young generation with their unique skills and talents will make their valuable contribution in this journey,” the Lt Governor said.
