Amid clashes and a low voter turnout in the South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday, seven areas of Kulgam district witnessed zero percent polling.
The Wanpora, Shamsipora, Turk Tachloo, Khudwani, Bugam areas of Kulgam district witnessed a zero percent polling out of a total of 10151 total voters.
In Shamsipora out of a total of 1578 voters, zero turned out for polling, Election officials informed The Kashmiriyat.
Similarly they said zero votes were polled in Wanpora out of a total of 1606 voters.
In Turk Tachloo, zero votes were cast out of 967 total voters.
in Khudwani out of the total of 2562 voters in four polling booths, zero votes were polled.
176 votes were polled in Sofigund area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district out of the total of 1236 total voters.
The voting has concluded with a total of 10.2 percent in the second leg of parliamentary polls for the Anantnag Lok Sabha seat.
