Zero votes have been polled out of a total of 3500 votes in Karimabad area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama area as the area goes to polls in the third leg of polls for the Anantnag Lok Sabha seat.
Amid tight security and intense clashes in various areas of the twin district of Pulwama and Shopian, voters have majorly confined themselves to their households and streets are wearing a deserted look.
Karimabad was declared a “No Go Zone” by Government Forces as it became witness to endless clashes during Government Forces and protesters in the aftermath of the killing of Burhan Wani on 08 July, 2016.
In Jammu Kashmir, polling is taking place in Ladakh constituency and Pulwama and Shopian districts of Anantnag seat.
Meanwhile in Naira Pulwama, 185 votes have been polled out of a total of 800 votes.
The voting percentage recorded till 11 AM in the twin South Kashmir districts was 1.
