An encounter has erupted between militants and Government forces in Lolab area of Kupwara district in Jammu Kashmir.
Government Forces in large numbers have been deployed to cordon off the area, This is the second encounter which has taken place in the Valley today.
The encounter began after a joint team of Jammu Kashmir Police, 28RR of Indian and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Lolab forests, The search operation soon turned into an encounter.
The area where is encounter is underway is a huge forest area, a Police official told The Kashmiriyat
Earlier, an encounter broke out between Militants and Government forces in south Kashmir’s Pulwama area in which two militants and a CRPF head constable were killed.
