Israel stealing vital organs of dead Palestinians: Health Ministry

On Tuesday, local authorities in Gaza leveled serious accusations against Israel, alleging the illicit harvesting of organs from deceased Palestinians.

The Gaza-based government media office issued a statement asserting that thorough examinations of the bodies had uncovered significant alterations, pointing to the purported theft of vital organs.

These alleged incidents of organ theft were claimed to have occurred repeatedly during the ongoing conflict in Gaza, with reports suggesting that bodies were even exhumed from graveyards.

The statement went on to criticize what it described as the “silent position” of international organizations, including the International Committee of the Red Cross, regarding what they deemed an “awful crime” committed by the Israeli occupation.

The Israeli army was accused of handing over bodies without disclosing names and withholding information about the locations from where they were seized.

As of the statement’s issuance, Israeli authorities had not officially responded to these grave accusations.

Concurrently, on the same Tuesday, Israel released the bodies of numerous Palestinians who had fallen victim to the Israeli army during its ground operation.

The bodies were received by Gaza’s Health Ministry through the Kerem Shalom border crossing in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Since October 7, it was reported that over 20,000 Palestinians had lost their lives in the relentless bombardment carried out by Israel—an alarming toll that continues to escalate. The situation raised international concerns, with calls for a thorough investigation into the allegations of organ theft and the broader humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region.
