Two militants killed in Pulwama encounter, Searches on

Two militants were killed in an encounter between government forces and militants in the Naina area of Batpora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Police said “utmost precautions were taken” to ensure no damage was done to the Mosque as militants were hiding in a separate structure.

Earlier on a specific input, the joint team of Army, CRPF and Police launched a cordon and search operation in the area during which they came under heavy fire from the hiding militants.

During the exchange of gunfire, two local militants were killed.

Earlier internet services were suspended in the Litter belt of Pulwama and Zainapora belt of Shopian.

In view of the encounter in Naina, Pulwama, Authorities on Thursday suspended train service between Banihal to Budgam on Thurday.
