More than 100 Kanals of State land and Ghas-charai has been retrieved in Pattan tehsil on Monday, an official said.
Tehsildar Pattan, Saqib Murtaza while talking to the media said that they have launched the anti-encroachment drive at different places in the tehsil following the directions of the Jammu Kashmir admin.
He said that they have instructions from the government to send all the details daily wise including total retrieval and target. “Rather than getting away from us, you should cooperate with us people so that we can retrieve this land in a friendly way without calling the Police,” Tehsildar told people.
He claimed that the people are also happy with this move. “People also want this land should be retrieved so that it could be used for some better purposes,” he claimed.
Hamid Rathar, a socio-political activist, in a tweet asked that “Why poor first? Why not big fishes are apprehended?”
