11 persons from Ganderbal injured in road accident at Bijbehara

Eleven persons have been injured in a road accident in the Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Locals told The Kashmiriyat that on Sunday morning, a suno vehicle collided with another vehicle bearing the registration number JK 12 C 8406 causing injuries to eleven persons on the Srinagar Jammu National highway near Anantnag’s Bijbehara.

They said that the injured were rushed by locals and Police to the Sub district hospital Bijbehara.

A hospital official confirming the accident said that the a total of eleven persons were brought to the hospital.

He identified the injured persons as Ishrat (20), daughter of Reyaz Ahmad Sheikh; Rumisa (32), wife of Isstitaq Ahmad Sheikh; Abdul Qayoom Bairan (40), son of Nazir Ahmed; Azra (3), daughter of Irshad Ahmad Sheikh; Salreen (32), wife of Nisar Ahmad Khan; Ahkam (5), son of Nisar Ahmad Khan; Arhan (4), son of Ishtiyaq Ahmad Khan; Imad (7), son of Ishtiyaq Ahmad Khan; and Usman (1), son of Nisar Ahmad Khan, all residents of Kangan Ganderbal.

“Out of the total eleven, five were shifted to the Government medical college in Anantnag, two of them are critical,” Dr. Mushtaq from SDH Bijbehara told The Kashmiriyat over the phone
