A 17- year old boy, Ikhlas Ahmed Bhat, resident of Adar area of Khanabal area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (anantnag) has alleged torture by Indian Army on the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Ikhlas speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that early morning he left home for Fajr prayers, when Army men face palmed (Covered my mouth with Hands) him and assaulted him for nearly an hour and also cut his body parts with sharp knives.
“As soon as i stepped out of my house towards the Masjid, which is nearly 200 meters away from my home, the Army men covered my mouth so that i would not shout and took me to a nearby scrub land,” he told The Kashmiriyat.
He said that first they pushed him to the ground and later started thrashing him, after which they took out his clothes.
“Later they took out knives and scratched lacerated his whole body including the legs, Arms, chest and throat,” He told The Kashmiriyat.
The Army men later Waterboarded me, they put my head inside a nearby stream many times without uttering a single word, Ikhlas who is wounded and lying on the bed said.
Later the Army men saw his school identity card and let him go.
“I was later taken to the hospital where the doctors gave me pain killers,” he told The Kashmiriyat.
The Locals of the Adar area alleged that Army has been conducting Nocturnal search operation in the area for the past three nights.
A Police official upon being contacted by The Kashmiriyat feigned ignorance about the incident.
“No the incident has not come to our notice,” he said.
