19 RR of Indian Army Organizes Avalanche rescue Camp in Anantnag

Indian Army’s 19 Rashtriya Rifles Alfa Company organized Skill Development Cum Avalanche Rescue Camp in Kapran Verinag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

On occasion sector commander 2 RR Vs Thakur accompanied by Colonel officer Dharmendra Yadav was present and highlighted the benefits of Schemes under Sadhbhavna provided by Army for un-employed youths in the area, the Indian Army said in a press release issued to The Kashmiriyat.

The skill development and rescue avalanche training were given among youths from 12 October to 5 November was done by 19 Rashtriya Rifles in collaboration with Animal Husbandry under the supervision of Doctor Syed Junaid at Govt Middle School Kapran.

At least 25 Youths have participated in training in which three youths establish their own outlets to earn for their livelihoods major Jeethu Vijayan said;

The aim of organizing such an event was to aware youths about how to prepare for a disaster and earn themselves to feed their families.

The main stress was provided among youth regarding Animal husbandry how to fed cattle, caring during disease their remedies, the increment of milk, etc.

Later on Sector Commander VS Thakur and Commanding officer Dharmendra Yadav distribute Certificates among youths who get training sector Commander interacts with senior citizens/panch Sarpanches and said take benefits of such schemes under sadbhavna.

Youths, as well as locals, appreciate the initiative taken by the army to provide such opportunities for the bright future of youths in the area.
