Two Militants have been killed in the encounter between militants and Government forces at Guhand area of South Kashmir’s Shopian District.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Saturday morning 34 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area.
The cordon continued for nearly two to three hours, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.
All the entry and exit points of the area were sealed by the Forces immediately.
In the ensuing gunfight, two unidentified Militants were killed, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
Mobile internet services have been barred in this South Kashmir District.
