5 Palestinians Killed, 180 Including 35 Minors Injured by Israeli Army

October 27 Five Palestinians including a young Palestinian protester were killed by Israeli army Saturday. Ziyad Akl, 23, was seriously wounded by Israeli gunfire during protests Friday in the Gaza-Israel buffer zone, Ashraf al-Qidra, a spokesman for the Gaza-based Palestinian Ministry of Health, said in a press release. Five protesters were killed and 180 others injured, including 35 minors and four paramedics on Friday al-Qidra said The Israeli army said roughly 16,000 Palestinians took part in the protests. Lolab Residents Accuse Forces of Vandalization

October 27 The Locals in Cheerkot area of Lolab in North Kashmir's Kupwara District have accused the Government Forces of vandalization in the locality during nocturnal raids. Locals from the area told The Kashmiriyat that forces barged into several houses in this Lolab area and smashed the window panes and the doors of the houses. "People normally think, house (shelter) is a safe space, but we Kashmiris are not safe even in our houses, Forces enter our houses and do whatever they want," a Cheerkot resident told The Kashmiriyat. They said that forces also abused men and women and before they left they had caused a huge damage to civilian property. An Official refuted the claims and said that the forces do not conduct such 'uncivil' behavior.

Army Man Injured During Stone Pelting in Islamabad (Anantnag) Succumbs

October 26 Army on Friday claimed that a soldier who had been hit by a stone in his head in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday evening succumbed at army base hospital in Srinagar. An army spokesman said that Sepoy Rajendra Singh (22) was a part of the Quick Reaction Team which was providing security to a Border Roads Organisation (BRO) convoy yesterday. “At around 1800 hrs, when the convoy was passing through the Anantnag bypass tri-junction near NH-44, few youths hurled stones at the vehicle and Sep Rajendra Singh was injured after being hit by a stone directly on the head,” said the spokesman. “He was provided immediate first aid and evacuated to 92 Base Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to the injury.
