145 White Whales Die in New Zealand

November 26 Up to 145 pilot whales that were stranded on a remote beach on the southern tip of New Zealand have died, the country's Department of Conservation (DOC) said on Monday. A hiker found the two pods late on Saturday on Stewart Island. Half of the whales were already dead by the time he arrived. The DOC decided to euthanize the remaining whales, DOC manager Ren Leppens said. The remote location and lack of nearby personnel meant successfully refloating the whales was highly unlikely. November  26 Government Forces have launched searches in the Berthipora of Keegam in South Kashmir's Shopian District on Monday. Reports said that a joint team of Indian Army's 44 RR, SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation at Berthipora village of Shopian. 220 Militants Killed in 2018, 44 in Shopian

November 26 The Shopian District of South Kashmir has witnessed the killing of at least 44 Militants in the current year, 2018 with the killing of six Militants on Sunday in an encounter at Batagund area. Another CASO Launched in Malangpora Pulwama

November 25 The Government Forces on Sunday launched another cordon and search operation in Malangpora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Sunday evening, the forces including 55 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police sealed all the entry and exit points to the area. A heavy contingent of forces reached this Pulwama locality and are conducting a search operation in the area, Locals told The Kashmiriyat. Earlier a CASO had also been launched in the same locality, but it was later called off after nothing was found in the area. November 25 At least thirty youth have been arrested during raids in the Achabal belt of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) ahead of Panchayat Polls in the area in the past two days. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that thirty youth have been picked up during raids in Achabal, Hardpora, Breenti, Badoora, Trahpu areas of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District by Government Forces. Some of the youth have been identified as Nawaz Ahanger, Amir Sofi, Akash Wani, Umar Nisar, Owais Sofi, all residents of Achabal belt. 5 Injured in Bandipora Road Accident

November 25 Shabir Khan At least five persons were injured when a passenger bus met with an accident in north Kashmir's Bandipora district on Sunday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a passenger bus, bearing registration number JK01C  7451, was travelling from Srinager  to Hajin when it met with an accident at Shahtulpora area of Sumbal North Kashmir's Bandipora district on Sunday. Five passengers were injured in the accident. All the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

November 25 Violent clashes have erupted in Pulwama town of South Kashmir after the killing of six Militants in Batagund area of South Kashmir's Shopian District Sources told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of youth shouting pro Freedom and Anti India slogans hit the streets and threw stones on Forces deployed in the area. The Forces tried to disperse the youth by throwing tear smoke shells, however the clashes were going on, when this report was filed. Meanwhile train services to South Kashmir remained suspended for the third consecutive day. Mobile internet services have been suspended in the Shopian district of South Kashmir.
