November 25 Six militants have been killed in an overnight gunfight which erupted between militants and goverment forces in Batagund area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district late night on Saturday. November 25 An encounter has started between Militants and Government Forces in the Batgund area of South Kashmir’s Shopian District. Grenade Attack on Panch House in Pulwama

November 24 Suspected Militants on Saturday evening hurled a grenade at the residence of Surrendar Singh of Padibal area of Devar village of Tral township in Pulwama district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that  grenade was hurled at the residence of Panch Candidate namely Surinder Singh of Padibal, in Devar Tral on Saturday evening. The grenade landed inside the house and exploded without causing any loss of life or damage. "The grenade hurled at the residence of Surrendar Singh but it missed the target" an Police official told The Kashmiriyat. Army’s 42 Rashtriya Rifles and J&K police rushed to the spot and conducted searches to nab the assailants. The searches were going on when this report was being filed.

South Kashmir Mourns Militant Killings- Shuts Down

November 24 The Southern part of Kashmir including Pulwama, Kulgam, Shopian and Islamabad has shut down for the second day to mourn the Killing of Six MIlitants in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir on Friday. The Islamabad (Anantnag) district and Pulwama, Kulgam Areas shut spontaneously as the news of the encounter spread in the area The Kashmiriyat was informed that traffic is off the roads, while business establishments are also shut. The Government has also suspended classwork in educational institutes while as railway services have also been suspended. Hundreds of people are still visiting the houses of Slain Militants and civilians in Islamabad (Anantnag) District of South Kashmir.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that  grenade was hurled at the residence of Congress leader Surinder Singh Channi, in Monghama Tral at 6:15 pm on Friday evening. The grenade landed inside the compound of the house and exploded without causing any loss of life or damage. Three Persons Including SPO Kidnapped in Shopian Area

November 2 unidentified gunmen kidnapped two civilians and a former SPO from a village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday evening. A police official said that unknown gunmen on Friday evening abducted two civilians and former SPO from Reban village of Zainpora in Shopian district. The official identified the abductees as former SPO Basharat Ahmad Wagay, Zahid Ahmad Wagay, and Reyaz Ahmad Wagay all residents of Reban village of Zainpora.

Thousands Attend Funeral of Slain Militants, Militants Offer Gun Salute

November 23 Thousands of people on Friday reached Arwani and Pushwara Localities of Islamabad (Anantnag) district to participate in the funeral prayers of a local Lashkar e Taiba militants who were killed in an encounter with Government Forces in Bijbehara belt of south Kashmir's Pulwama district. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that thousands of people defying the cold thronged the native of Azad Ahmed Malik in Arwani to attend the funeral of the slain Militant. Three Injured during Clashes in Islamabad (Anantnag) Area, One Hit with a Bullet

November  23 At least three persons have been injured during intense clashes that erupted after congregational Friday prayers in Bijbehara town of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that one of the three injured received a bullet in his right arm and shifted to Srinagar hospital for treatment, while the other two have been treated in local hospital. Adopt Dialogue Peace, Not Provocative Statements- Pakistan Army Chief Tells India
